Frickin' no tv coverage down here in Orlando so I didn't catch the game. Was working on some legal stuff, anyway.

At any rate, ESPN had the last 20 seconds in "bonus coverage" so I did see that. I am going to give you the respect you deserve momentarily, but have to say that I do not understand how a guy throws a bounce pass in at half court with 18 seconds left. That is a combination of inexperience and bad coaching by Donovan.

Some teams would let us get away with it, so I absolutely I credit UT for forcing the turnover and that is the difference tonight between winners and losers. Good job. I am very disappointed in the Gators and just have to hope that they stop with the bone-headed plays. Meanwhile, I continue to be very impressed with your team.

Good win. I'd say you locked up the SECE so go ahead and run it down to the tournament where I hope we get one more shot at you before tourney time. Well done Vols!

Appreciate the comments but does the term passive aggressive mean anything to you? You've got some Spurrier in you.

As much as I hate to say it congrats...you have a solid team, and that's all I have to say.

You stole another one from us...literally.

I am going to give you the respect you deserve momentarily,

I guess that's about as good as it gets from you LG.

We could win the national championship and you would say, "Well, nice game but I am not going to give you any respect until you prove you can do it back to back."

Are you SURE you guys are Gators? The few that I met in Gainesville had more of a tendency to throw things, spit, and try to fight after a loss.

Just playin'. Thanks for coming back and taking your medicine. See you in the tourney.

law and orangeandblue, thanks for posting after a loss...not many guys do that.

I want to say that both teams in both games played incredibly hard and beating Florida down there validates Tennessee as a good team.

Good to have a rivalry in something other than football for a change.

Ahh, Freaky let it go. We got more from him than they would have gotten from me if the game had ended differently.

I have to give them a little bit of a hard time.

I honestly didn't think we could pull that one out either. :biggrin2:

I was watching the game with a Florida MBA student at the O-Dome, and I felt like I had my hand in the cookie jar when Bradshaw made the big steal. I almost wanted to cry when Lofton went to the line. I can't believe what this team had accomplished. They always make plays at the end of games. They can be beaten with bad luck though. Brewer's three could have gone in. Humphrey's three could have gone in at the end of game one. And, some of UK's bad threes could have fallen. The bottom line is that the Vols always step up and make plays. When you do that, the bounce of the ball will usually go your way. Unbelievable year.

By the way, the Vols are now 9-0 this year with me in attendance (ETSU, each SEC home game except Auburn, and @UK, UGA, and UF). Karma is a good thing. If only I had that kind of luck with the girls (Lady Vols 1-2: UConn, UK, LSU).

yeah NC you missed one hell of a game......it got to a point there at the end, that even in losing, for either team, you still knew that both were playing their hearts out....

Still glad we got it though!!! Go Vols!!!

Did you wear your Vol stuff? And, if so, how did your hosts react?

How quiet did it get in there after the steal by Bradshaw?

it's already been posted, but LG and O&B, both of you came on here and gave, er, props. still more than i could have done had it turned out the other way....

Let's just say, that despite the refs, despite the crowd, despite everything, we still got it done, and we're happy.

and bad caoching and bone head plays are the difference between winning and losing. Just ask Buzz. We're all too familiar with that....

We're just better this year, one only need look at a SCOREBOARD to see that!!!

all kidding aside, you guys played tough, got the majority of the calls, and played a very tough game.

Go Vols!!!

I'm with you Freak. if ever, ever UT basketball deserved props it was last night. I'm not even going to harp on the foul shot difference. But, I as much as I respect LG and his insightful post, the quote above makes me second quess all of his post now.Maybe he should have delayed posting. :biggrin2: I expect better from LG though.Blame the game on a freshman, the one person that kept them in the game. :dunno: UT out hustled UF end of story.

As backhanded as this declaration of respect may appear to a Vol fan like myself, I still appreciate the class you show on a regular basis on this board law. It's nice that the win in January can now have some validation to Gator fans such as yourself who seemed to want to write that one off as some kind of fluke.
