So, we are 21-4 and 10-2 SEC with four games to go. I think we can win 3 of 4 of those games and finish 24-5, and 13-3 SEC, which should give us 2nd place SEC, and a likely top ten ranking. That is not bad. Who among reasonable people would have sneered at that at the season's beginning? Barring a spectacular win at SC, this seems like the most likely scenario. That sets us nicely to maybe get to the Final game of the SECT, and make a run to the SS or better in the NCAAT. If we get hot, who knows what could happen.

If that happens, I think it will be a very successful season for Kellie's third year of her program rebuilding effort. But even if we fall short of those goals in the tournaments, we shouldn't go all wobbly and gnash our teeth, either. IMO, we are ahead of schedule for the rebuild, and with the players we have coming back plus Pissott, we should be even better next season.

Al, I would think UT lands a big fish from portal also, pretty sure that will happen

Well, there will likely be a lot of movement, hopefully a terrific talent or two will land here. You've noted our need for a backup five, and everyone knows of our needs at PG. If we fix those for next season, we could have a very good year with those added to returning talent.

No doubt, and the portal likely has answers at both spots…plus if UT is in play with Jackson you have a dynamite 2/3/4 that is all SEC type and very versatile, she is a
Shooter.

Are you kidding me. That prognostication would have resulted in a slow death from ridicule. The snowflakes, superstitious, Negas and overall worry warts would have taken your sword and broke it over their knee branding you forever as unrealistic and a sunshine pooper uh pumper.

What this team has accomplished is nothing short of great. At the beginning of the season, some of our resident experts were saying we would not be better because we would be unable to replace Rennia and our players were not very good to begin with. Today, we know better.

Yeah, they like to have it both ways: First they say our players aren't any good (it isn't true, but.....) because Kellie recruited them. So that means to achieve a 21-4 record Kellie must be a great coach. When you say that to them they say no, Kellie is a bad coach - just look at the four defeats, in which case the 21 victories must be due to us having good players. Then they say the victories mean nothing because they were all teams Kellie is supposed to beat, and the defeats are meaningful because Kellie is supposed to beat those teams, too, in year three of the rebuild. There's just no reasoning with them.

No doubt, however the hell they got to 21-4 is pretty incredible. Ain't been pretty, often frustrating, but really in a torturous way it's been alot of fun. Never boring! It was said during preseason predictions the only way to pull off a record like this would be put together a whole bigger than the parts and that's exactly what's happened, most of the time. Of course that means the shaky wheels are a threat to come off all the time. We can win any game ( tho not too sure about SC) or could lose any game. I think we can still get better.

If KJH can win at least 2 games in ea tourney, end w a record of about 27-7, top 15 in polls end of year, she will have had a very successful season and hopefully snag some big time recruits.

I agree with your comments but I think they do not go far enough. I believe the LVs will win the remainder of their regular season games and then make a strong, deep run in the SEC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. Their win total with be in the 30s when it is all said and done. GBO.

Good on your faith and confidence! I'm afraid my hope for Sunday is just that we don't get embarrassed on national TV again. Please mark this post and rub it in my face that it didn't age well if we pull off the miracle. I wouldn't mind a bit. But they're way too good, espec at home, and we'd have to play by far the best we've played all year. I'm afraid Boston is going to seal the POY deal on us.
