I come here a lot and look especially before we play ya’ll. But I am not just a Ga homer I am an SEC fan and our yr this yr has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Oh I got a question for you guys, can you rub a little of that magic off on us to beat Alabama? lol I will be watching and I will be pulling for you against Ohio State. Show them what SEC football is all about!!! Remember we are all people and we can all be cordial to each other even when we are PASSIONATE about our teams. One thing is for sure, Tennessee, Texas and Ga did not back our way into the dance, we went out and took it! Great year this year you have had and I will be pulling for you to make it, until when and if you meet the dawgs…,,,,,,!,

Thanks, as a lifelong TN fan living 45 minutes away from Athens with two kids who graduated from GA Tech and a third who is currently there ....... I hope GA gets annihilated......you guys should have never gotten that win over Tech....you got every call and every bounce of the ball.

It doesn’t matter if UGA lost to Tech and still beat Texas. They’d be in the same spot.

Maybe. They may have ended up in the 3 spot.......but there is no way they are anywhere near the 2nd best team in the nation.

In the 3 spot, with Boise State as a 2 seed? Hmm…I doubt it.

But really, it doesn’t matter how good you think they are. They earned their spot by winning the SEC championship game. The game results matter more than opinions, as they should.

Having said that, there are still flaws in the new playoff format. It definitely needs to be tweaked, but it’s way better than what it used to be.

Who do you think is the 2nd best team in the nation? I honestly have no idea. This field is as wide open as it has ever been.

Losing to your out of conference rival and then backing you way into the playoffs should forever be called the "Clemson Method" going forward.

Hey, win the games that matter the most, and you’ll be a champion. Teams seeded last have won the Super Bowl before.

Boise State was 10 in the poll after the ga/GA Tech game. ga would have fallen below 10.

But I agree, it's still a better system than it was, even though there are some obvious flaws that need tweaking.

Number 2? I don't know, there are about 8 teams who can make a "legitimate" argument.
GA's argument is one of the weakest, if they have the loss against GA Tech....

Yes. That’s true. I just think the majority of people would have a huge problem with Boise State being a 2 seed. But in that scenario, maybe not. The system definitely needs tweaking. I don’t mind the top 5 conference champions getting automatic playoff spots, but I don’t like the top 4 conference champions getting a bye. It has made the seeding really weird. The 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 seeds have an easier road than the 1 seed. That’s a problem.

I think they just need to go to 16 teams, top 5 conference champions get an automatic playoff spot, teams are ranked 1-16 with no conference champions promised a high seed, in the first round the higher seed gets a home game, and no byes. It’s simpler and less controversial in my opinion.

The SECCG might be the first time I ever rooted for UGa. I'm generally not a big conference fan, but the idea of a Big 12 team coming in here, playing as weak an SEC schedule as they could have been given, and winning the conference just didn't sit right.

Honestly, I'll root for you guys again if you match up with TX in this silly playoff.

In no way does Boise deserve a 2 seed (or a 3 seed). But, had ga lost to GA Tech, that would have been the probable outcome.

But I agree. The 5 conference champs should make the field but not receive automatic byes. The seeding should go strictly by the rankings (as flawed as they may be). I also agree that increasing to 16 teams is the way to go.

May we meet each other in the championship game! (and TN lay a smackdown on GA, which considering the level of talent would be a win by about 14 points)

How are you guys going to play without a QB? or a punter for that matter?

I personally think Texas backed in. Have not been impressed by them at all this year. Plus there can be only one UT and it is NOT the one wearing burnt orange.

Georgia took it. Texas backed in though the easiest SEC draw that could be conjured up.

I was rooting for Georgia too. Simply can't have Texas come in and win it in year one. Their hubris was already out of control.

It is not going to be easy without Beck for sure, but I think Stockton has the talent just not the experience and experience matters. The punter sux too and I do not know who is next in line to punt. Saturday night Stockton brought juice it seems like, but can that last? We shall see.
