On winning VolNation's favorite award in the whole wide world.

Pretty nice career for an Ohio State QB. Heisman, beat Michigan 3 times, and has a chance to top it off with a National Championship.

He deserved it, and if he can overcome his height disadvantage, he could be a solid NFL starter one day.

does his booster friend from a few years back get to keep the trophy for one week a year?

Troy Smith probably deserved it, but he managed to win it by the largetst landslide ever. I don't know if that's reasonable. I guess the competition this year just wasn't up to snuff. I thought it was pretty crazy how badly Reggie Bush defeated Vince Young last year. Not that Reggie didn't deserve it, but I though Vince had a very, very strong case for the honor. At least this year someone from a team with a loss got invited to the ceremony. That didn't happen the last two years.

So the Gators D gets a shot at the Heisman runner up and the Heisman winner in back to back games.

Good point. I just think that Smith has a better arm though, LOL. If Florida beats OSU, then that will be an amazing accomplishment. Granted Texas got USC's last year, winner and third place.

I think Smith actually got the largest ever margin of first place votes... So Smith is the most unanimous Heisman winner in History, not the biggest.

Also congrats to McFadden for beating out Brady Quinn for second place.

This Heisman award has to be the most anticlimatic in history. The media annointed him winner several months ago.

Why wasn't there a defensive player in the top 3? Wasn't that the deal with Charles Woodson? It's the best "all around" player...

Congrats to Smith, though. Hopefully he'll be able to live up to the hype in the NFL.
