Anyone want to make pre-season guesses as to pick-ups and numbers for both parties for the election?

I see three pickups in the Senate - CO, NH, VA. Of course Larry Craig's actions could put ID in play.

Ahhh...MN. Forgot about that one. Add to that all of the GOP retirements in the House and the formula makes for an uphill battle for the GOP. Money will be tight across the board. Already the GOP has more seats to defend going into this election. So the magnet of the money will be towards keeping those in office reelected. Plus now with open seats in GOP leaning districts. Extra money will be needed to keep those in as well. So essentially the efforts of the NRSC, the NRCC, and the RNC will be focused on those races with little available for trying to take seats. I think LA might be the only one in any danger to flip to the GOP on the Senate side.

I'll let the liberals try to pick this one apart. Their entire campaign is based on class battles. They thrive on disunity in America. "The enforcement of equality destroys not only liberty but equality as well." -Richard Pipes, research professor at Harvard.

Domenici is now out as well. Put another one in the Dem column after seeing how this state is trending. What's the odds of Richardson dropping out of the Presidential race and running for this seat?
