GS reveres West as a war hero; in reality, he received an Article 15 (something Officers almost never receive and is a career-ender) for abusing a detainee and was forced to retire (he should have been sent to jail). GS likes him because GS hates Islam.
West certainly isn't the only Officer to give up a
carreer on a matter of principle.
You leave out the part where West kept his men
from walking into an ambush as well a enabling
the local elections to be held.
You conviently omit the fact that al-Qaeda was
targeting West for assassination.
As I read yesterday newspaper I saw a picture of a
young lady, surely not much past her teens, testifying
before a congressional committee on the lack of help
for her husband, a veteran who had lost both legs and
both arms in Afghanistan.
I think your highminded politically correct stance on
most everything is a load of crap.
Furthermore your attempts to put words in my mouth
are laughable.
I've never said anything about revering West, I do
however respect him which is far more than he gets
from you who claim to have been one of his fellow
officers.
