SS is stuck in a bad spot IMO.
On the one hand, they are a better offense when Shaw is healthy and able to take off and get yards with his legs.
On the other his risk for injury goes up dramatically when he leaves the pocket. (or on designed runs)
USCe needs Shaw to contend IMO, right now he has to be able to run it some to make their offense harder to defend. Im just not sure he can make it thru the whole season with that plan.
That's what scares me. We lose him, then we default to giving Lattimore 6473825657473838465647383756564737 carries per game in hopes of success. I fear he maybe done by the time we leave Baton Rouge.
Shaw is a tough kid and I'd love him to be on my team...as a tight end. He is not going to the NFL as a qb.Might as well run him to death while you have him, and let the NFL team that drafts him worry about him being over worked. MSU did that with Javon Ringer. They were running him over 40 times a game.
