A good concordance is needed. Along with a good Hebrew/Greek dictionary. I fully believe that one is to study themselves to show themselves approved. (paraphrased that myself)

the KJV translation is probably the most inaccurate translation available.

in college, we used the New Oxford Annotated.

No matter the translation, the substance and message doesn't change much. That is what is important to most people anyway.

How the Adultress story can be called "not authentic" but the same people can believe in the "rapture" is beyond me. What a racket.

I agree that the message is the most important but for those who study the Bible and the histories it contains the translation can be very important.

i've seen news report that there are people who want non-gender translations. i've also read where people want the Bible translated into ubonics. this is not suprising.
