If I’m a Kentucky fan watching last night’s game, I couldn’t be more discouraged. One conclusion I drew from that game (and maybe it’s a lazy one), is that Kentucky’s identity and style of play will rarely allow it to beat a Heupel-coached Tennessee team. Possibly the only chance they’re ever going to have is if Tennessee happens to be horrendous on defense. This was true last year, but they failed to capitalize. There’s just no margin for error and it seems like everything has to break the right way for them to be competitive with Tennessee’s pace and firepower.

KY will fail against any team that can stop the run. Levis is good not great, I really do not see him being as high a draft pick as everyone says. I think Hooker is a better QB but maybe that is just me being a TN homer. Or maybe Hooker is a better college QB and Levis will be a good pro, I do not know as I am not a talent scout.
One big problem for an offense like KY is that once they fall behind by 14+ they have to give up on their run game and it just goes south from there. Last night happened as I hoped it would, TN get up by a couple of scores and make KY change their game plan.

You're spot on.

No, Stoops will never beat Heupel at Tennessee.

Still I expect Kentucky to win 9 games (bowl included) this season.

Down 30pts in the 3rd and still trying to run the ball with your first round qb. There is no hope for that offense
