Only two years younger that ACLU supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg would have. (since Ginsberg was confirmed 97-3, where is the supposed republican opposition?)

Ten-year-old girls are ready for marriage, according to Saudi Arabia's most senior cleric.

Age of consent by nation, male/female, male/male and female/female.

Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al Sheikh, the country's grand mufti, told Al Hayat newspaper that those saying ten or 12-year-old girls are too young to marry are being 'unfair' to them.

Unfair to the girl, or unfair to the pervert?:)

and I believe the old saying goes:

If there's grass on the field, play ball. If not, turn it over and play in the mud. :eek:hmy:

Dont "Christians" in Utah, Colorado and AZ do the same. I think its wrong if anyone does it but up until the last 50 years in america alot of underage girls were force to marry older men.

Tongue in cheek joking aside 10 really is a child in the eyes of most every Western culture. This makes sense as it would be pre-adolescent, which puts a kind of working definition in place and is wholly anatomical and not culturally defined.

A better discussion could be raised that if it is legal to marry at 16 (as it is in this state with parental consent) how is it somehow immoral to have sex with a 16yr? Arguing 3rd party permission makes having swinging-from-the-rafters-honeymoon sex perfectly fine with 16yr girl but merely the lack of said permission makes even sexual overtures a crime is kinda dubious. In New Hampshire (I think it's still the case) a girl can be wed as young as 13 if the courts and parents consent.

I personally don't think it's a good idea to be all sexually active, particularly with those that might be more than a little your senior, at those young ages but the question remains. If they're old enough then they're old enough, aren't they? How does "too young" get morally changed to "wear it out brother" with 3rd party permission?

In all these ramblings about morality and such, you've all missed the important question: "she hot?"

She is probably wearing a blanket covering her entire body. We can't have the other pedophiles looking at her, that would be immoral.

You have to acknowledge that the previous POTUS was also quite cozy with religion too, then. Just for intellectual honesty's sake.

Well let's consider the differences between the two religions.

How about that for intellectual honesty's sake???:)

In 2001 Obama sponsored Illinois Senate Bill 750 creating the "Halal Food Act," providing for inspections by the Department of Agriculture to ensure that all food labeled Halal is prepared according to Islamic law.

Islamization — here’s how it works and why Halal food plays a role.

1) Animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but Allah there are debates regarding the permissibility of meat slaughtered by Jews, i.e., kosher meat). [Qur’an 2:173]

2) Global Halal Market is currently a USD 580 billion industry..Can you say “Lobbyists” Sure I knew you could!

Islamification of a country can take a while but then it seems to be working it's way through western democracies quite well.

A side note:

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - A Muslim inmate in a Connecticut prison has filed a federal lawsuit, alleging he has been denied meals that conform to his religious standards.

Ricardo Collins says officials are denying his right to freedom of religion by failing to provide meat that is "halal," slaughtered in accordance with Islamic law.

The 27-year-old inmate, who is being held at Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center, filed his lawsuit in U.S. District Court on Dec. 23, 2008.

Collins recently won an appellate court decision granting him a new trial on a murder charge. He had been convicted in Superior Court of killing a man in Bridgeport in 2002.

On February 27th, 2007 Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.”

The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:

“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet… ”

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim’s complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.

Obama knows this from his Quranic studies — and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world. Regardless of Obama’s religion, what message is he sending the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims?

Of course it would seem these days any intelligent remark of more that three syllables is totally lost on the average American citizen.

I think the Muslim call to prayer is eerie, but oddly pretty. And I'm not a muslim extremist in the least.

One of my children went on a 'missionary' trip to Turkey and that was the first reply to my question of 'what it is like in Turkey?'

"The Muslim call to prayer sounds pretty."

"For they that are such serve not our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and fair speech they beguile the hearts of the innocent."
