Cord cutting password swap crackdown

Right? Give me a break. This move makes sense whether or not there is NN. Also, are we entitled to share passwords? Seems like this is completely justified.

I get the cable companies wanting to crack down. Cord cutting has given their little mini monopolies a kick the rear.

But lets say a network like HBO doesn’t care as much about PW sharing. Now ISP’s such as Charter or Comcast can decide to slow down the connection of HBOGO, which uses a cable provider login, or even HBONOW, which is independent, should HBO not play along with the policies they want to implement. And that could hurt everyone whether they are the account holder or the shared user.

It will happen. Or will be used as leverage if nothing else.

We have an elderly relative in the home and cannot cut the cord as long as that arrangement exists. I tried just switching to the Xfinity boxes that are connected by wifi signal with the voice option on the remotes and all hell broke loose. Nope. Gotta have the black snakes coming out of the wall and the decade plus-old boxes and remotes or there will be no peace. In fairness, she watches a ****load of television and my wife just wants her momma to be happy so I pay extra for old technology.

Don't have a single problem with them cracking down on this and don't blame them from protecting their product. Has nothing to do with NN.

You do realize that throttling things was allowed under the Obama net neutrality rules, don't you?

Or do you let yourself get riled up over things because someone on the Internet told you to be?
