After missing last spring practice, Tennessee defensive end Corey Miller is using this one to make up for lost time. The rising senior appears to be making the most of it, too.

As the Volunteers continue their search for a pass rusher off the edge, Miller is solidifying his spot in Tennessee's defensive line rotation and pushing to start.

"Corey is actually rotating with the ones -- he and Jacques [Smith] and Marlon Walls," defensive line coach Steve Stripling said after Thursday morning's practice. "I think he's earned that right. I think he's going to give us some good football."

A bit of a disappointment to date....hope he has a stellar year.

He didn't really fit the 3-4. Kinda hard to get better under a system that doesn't play to your strengths. Yeah he had 2 years prior but now he's a senior and I've thought he would start this year for a little while.

Miller and Willis went to Byrnes along with Lattimore. Byrnes had alot of D1 talent come out that year.

had forgotten about lattimore. but yes, you are right it was byrnes. that's where our girls showed up in the stands holding signs..

It's time for him to go into Beast Mode. This guy has had it in him, the whole time, but with the lack of size in the DL when Wilcox was still here, he got taken out of position. Then last year, playing in a 3-4 for the first time....that, too probably stunted his development. He is a pure 4-3 DE, and that is what he excelled at in HS. I hope he just goes off this season, Leonard Little style.
