Corporate Political Giving Swings Toward the GOP - WSJ.com

According to data from the Center for Responsive Politics, business PACs gave 52% of their $72.2 million in total donations to Republican candidates from January through July.

In the same period of 2009, corporate PACs had sent 59% of their $64 million in campaign contributions to Democratic candidates, according to the data. AT&T Corp. and GlaxoSmithKline PLC are among the companies whose PAC donations shifted this year toward GOP candidates.

the board censors are really tough if you're a conservative. libs get the run of the board.

That's ludicrous. I deserve to get my crap deleted regularly and I'm anything but liberal, yet they manage to leave much of it alone.

Corporate donations are like Vegas odds... they generally reflect who the corporations think they need to buy favor with in the next few years.

The beneficiaries include Midwestern lawmakers, mostly Democrats, who have traditionally supported the industry's legislative agenda on Capitol Hill, including Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio) and Rep. John Dingell (D., Mich.).
The list also includes Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor, the House Republican Whip, who would likely assume a top leadership post if Republicans win control of the House in November.
