Anyone else watch this tonight? And did anyone else come away with the feeling the targeted audience might be a bit younger?

I like Neil deGrasse Tyson and his way of dumbing down the complicated stuff, but it just seemed like he was talking to a kindergarten class the whole time.

ETA: Please don't turn this into the religious debate.

Haven't watched it yet but it's on the DVR. Honestly, based on the previews I didn't know what it was supposed to be about.

It's essentially a show to get kids and young adults excited in science. I haven't watched it yet, but I'll probably try to find a stream at work tomorrow. I've been excited about it since I first heard of it's production.

I don’t know that it was on a kindergarten level but it was definitely aimed at the widest audience for a network show in prime time on a Sunday night.

I watched it with my kids who were 4 and under at the time. They were captivated but I doubt they really grasped everything. It definitely lead to a general interest in cosmology they still explore to this day.

NDT is one of the most annoying people on the internet and I imagine his Cosmos was annoying, too.
