I wanna tape of that game.

I'm not really sure but look for it on CSS if you've got Comcast Cable.....They usually have re runs of all our games just check the TV guide and it should tell you...I'm pretty sure it would come on that channel though ;)

I'll probably be putting it on DVD soon. I've already got some of this season's other games on DVD too.

I searched CSS's programming schedule through Jan. 19th with no luck.

CSS is hip deep in basketball now, may not be a replay for awhile

It usually takes 2 discs (DVD-R) for an entire game.... disc 1 will be the first half and disc 2 will be the second half of the game. I cut out the commercials and add the dvd menu. Blank discs are fairly inexpensive now (around 1$). As long as the number of requests don't get out of hand, I'll send a copy to anybody who wants one. The cost will only be what it costs me for the discs, packaging, and shipping. I don't want any profit due to copyright issues.

It may be a couple of weeks before I can get around to transferring the game from my TIVO to the computer and then onto DVD.... keep looking here on the message board and I'll post an update when I'm done.

FYI - I am also converting my old vhs collection of Tennessee game to DVD too. There are alot of games that I don't have, so I may be posting some requests to see what some of you other folks have on VHS too. Trades are possible. Thanks.

Allvol, you are the man!! I didn't realize that TIVO's were networkable (is that a word)? I wonder if my charter DVR could be networked. It has an ethernet port.....hmmm.

Allvol, if the requests aren't out of hand yet I'd like to get in on that.

Sorry to say that I was out until 5am New Year's Eve. When I woke up, it was 38 - 0!

Needless to say I was a bit surprised

I'd also be interested in a link or advice to a resource about hooking Tivo to a computer.

Can you believe I have Tivo and didn't even record the game? Must have been that one beer I had

Luckily for me, the game started at 8 AM so I just had to occupy myself after New Year's Eve until the game started.

That happened to me one year... but it was only the Citrus Bowl when we played Northwestern.

That almost happened to me when we played Michigan. I was out until about 4:30 ish...but I woke up in time to get my jersey on and watch the game. After it was over, I passed out at my dad's house on the couch.

I was in bed by 3 and STILL got up to watch the game. In fact, I was so worried I'd oversleep, I slept TERRIBLY!!

I have to admit, I thought I was still asleep when I saw that score - what a beautiful dream.

I wish I slept through the 2 Peach Bowls

I'm really glad I didn't drink alot the night before. Getting up at 5:30 would not have been quite as much fun with a hangover.

TIVO upgrading link

It's possible move video from a DirecTV-TIVO to a computer, but the TIVO software has to be modified. There used to be some info on that stuff at the link I posted above.

There is also now a DVR-DVDR set top combo. Tivo your show and then burn it straight to disc.

I just use an S-Video cable hooked through a video 'cleaner' to my computer capture card. The picture is as clear as the DirecTV stream when I play it back. It took me a while to find the right capturing, encoding, and authoring software to make DVDs. It's taken me close to 5 years to get it all figured out, mostly through trial and error and such.... but this year I've finally gotten the quality where I like it and put some of the football games on DVD and am now getting ready to transfer my entire vhs collection of Vols' games to DVD.

So far I have the UNLV, Florida, Georgia, and Ole Miss games on DVD. I'm still looking for a copy of the La. Tech game if anyone could help me out? The Alabama, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Cotton Bowl games are all still on my TIVO.
