With Sanchez being hurt and no one knowing the extent of the shoulder injury, and Geno Smith tossing a million INTs, Simms was 6-10 120yds 1 TD yesterday. How funny would it be if Simms ended up starting the opener? As a side note, wonder what Ainge is thinking right now?

Smith will start if Sanchez can't go. Play any defense against the Jets if this happens (fantasy football).

I just thought I woke up in 2009/10. Good grief never start a thread this way.

I read UT has 6 QBs in the NFL now. I can only think of Manning, Bray & Sims. Who are the others?

That would be awesome if he became the starter and had a great career. I hope he does well.

Anything is possible. Jeff Tuel is starting for Buffalo. Seriously? Was Brian St. Pierre not available?

Matt Simms to get start on Thursday night's preseason final evidently as Geno Smith is the #1 QB now since Sanchez is hurt.

Matt Simms played the entire game and was 33/44 with 285 yards with no interceptions, but also no touchdowns.

Happy to see him do well and make the team. I doubt that he starts the opener but with the pathetic QB play in front of him, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he is inserted as the starter somewhere during the season.
