This movie should be required viewing for every father and father-to-be. The acting leaves some to be desired, but the message and the statistics are quite poignant.

I watched Courageous and you are right, it does make you want to be the best Dad possible, especially after he didnt dance with her in the parking lot....that really got me.
I recently watched Fireproof with my wife. I was smart enough to make a deal before watching it. I would only agree to watch it if I could make all the jokes I wanted without ticking her off. The wife in that movie was like Tracy Gold/Allison Hannigan-bad.
As for Courageous, I've got the book and it's next on my list, after I finish "A Lucky Child." I've heard it's a great story, but the acting is the same as Fireproof. This made it a no-brainer for me. I'll just read it.
