I understand that its about a 99.9999% chance he leaves early. I would to because who wouldnt turn down a shot at millions and Ive already heard the whole shpeal about his grades (which can be fixed over the next half year), but thats besides the point.

I just wanna here opinions on how Jones would use CP if he was still here, how much better we'd be, etc...

It would be exciting. Sigh

Goodness, I would love to see him back. He is outstanding to watch, and can make some play's. I would figure Jone's would use him alot more than dooley, not sure in what way, but I think Jone's know's alot more than dooley about play's and stuff. He can make a team nervous when he get's the ball. That was one bright spot this year, was knowing we had "that" player, other team's were scared of.:superman:

Let's do a guessing game as to which NFL team he will go come April...How about the Raiders?

For me not using CP enough is a big reason im glad Dooley is gone. Why he didnt touch the ball more this season is beyond me. By far some of the most pure talent in the country.

It is possible that he didn't run patterns as well as he could have and wasn't in the right place at the right time.

This could affect his long-term career. It might make sense to stick around and demonstrate to the NFL that he can do his job better.

Cp left a couple of weeks ago.....time to move on people.

DaRick also packed up and left Cookeville the Sunday after their last game

I agree. I dont exactly buy the whole his grades suck deal but idk for sure. I dont think he'll be at big risk of getting hurt. He has more of a chance to stub his toe than to get tackled on a football field.

when will Hunter and CP officially announce that they are going pro, or will they even do so?

Its not out of the realm of possibility. Several high round draft pick juniors came back for their senior year in the past.

He is failing most of his classes. He is gone one way or another

First of all, you don't know this. You're just going off the same speculation as everyone else on this board, that his grades are bad and, in all actuality, you don't know anything about grades. So stop spewing this garbage.

Secondly, as OP pointed out, even if his grades were bad, he'd still have three terms to bring them up. If he doesn't come back, it won't be because of grades.

I'm pretty sure a "tutor" could "help" him get his grades up or CBJ could "talk" to some of his professors if it came down to grades. Has he came out and said that his grades are bad? Because if he didn't, how would anyone know? Because I'm pretty sure FERPA protects him from anyone knowing his grades. I think it's coming down to money, not grades guys.

But if he did come back is there a chance he could be a top 10 pick the next year? Out of Bray, JH, and CP I want CP back the most.

CP would benefit the most of the 3 with Coach Butch's offense. He could break records and even lead in rushing if he stayed.

Considering CP didn't run a good route that was also the route he was supposed to run until the Kentucky game, I'd say his role would be similar to most of his touches this year . . . get it to him short in as much space as possible as let him work.

Occasionally you can send him deep, but he is as likely as not to drop it.

I'd like some folks with surer hands to be in the game on 3rd and long.

CP is long gone

report card + pile of money staring at him from the sidelines of the NFL = LONG GONE

Don't say that! This is a national forum. Change it now!

No it doesn't. It protects him from the University releasing his grades. He can tell/show his grades to anyone he chooses.

Read a couple sentences up. I said "has he came out and said he had bad grades" because if he didn't how would anyone know. Just because he doesn't go to class a lot you can't assume that he doesn't.

Would have been interesting to have gone to a bowl game this year and found out how many were academically ineligible. Word on the street is that Bray and CP were headliners on the list. I think the academics were going to catch up with CDD next year anyway. I think he was skating on thin ice in that arena.
