will somebody start a sports station that doesnt suck?

Nope because there will always be a team out there that feels disrespected and, to them, that station will always suck.

Agreed. If you are looking to be offended or slighted, you always will be.

Somebody needs to sneak into his dorm room at night and "take care" of that thing.
You are going to be responsible if that happens. :birgits_giggle:

Look at how popular the mustache is at Gonzaga. Those people are wearing little fake black mustaches to the games now because of Morrison. Could you imagine 108,000 people all with little Mario mustaches on?

:banghead: Again, an update on this topic....how is Lofton not listed in the big man on campus poll with Dickie V picking him as player of the week...and the following story:
Katz on Lofton

From Katz' article:

"Lofton has been perfect for Bruce Pearl's system and isn't getting enough national recognition. If he keeps this up, he'll probably be the SEC player of the year and be a second-team All-American. "

Finally...

:furious3:

pi$$ on Jay Bilas

"While Bruce Pearl is doing a great job at Tennessee, don't overlook the great job Buzz Peterson is doing at Coastal Carolina in the Big South Conference.

Peterson has been successful at each stop in his career, starting at Appalachian State, Tulsa, then Tennessee, and he has instilled a winning attitude at Coastal. The Chanticleers have won five straight games, including two straight on the road at Winthrop and at Charleston Southern for the first time since 1997, and Coastal Carolina has its best 22-game record since 1994.

Coastal Carolina has not had a rich history of great success, and Peterson's 13-9 record is a major step forward for the program and a great accomplishment. Peterson did not provide the spark Tennessee wanted, but he could coach then and he can coach now. "

He will do anything to side-step...

Wonder what Bilas has been watching the past 4 years?? The only thing Buzz instilled was how to wilt at the end of games and meltdown at the end of the season.

I think Chris Lofton is great. I think that Chris Lofton needs to see that is necessary for him to have a great 2nd half of the season, which is what he has done in the last two games. Chris don't think that you are going to get rewards for what you have done. Just like in real life its, What Have You Done For Me Lately, that makes you remembered by your fans. I think that this is true also for the whole basketball team. They have had a wonderful season up to this point. However now is not the time for self congratulations, use the fact that you are not getting recognized, put yourself in the underdog role and use it. You need to remain hungry, expect nothing but the best from yourself and you will have success.

Wow, is pedigo a Lofton-homer or what? Who cares about Player of the Week? Why not just be happy that the Vols are winning?

I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion (Bilas and Dickie V included). If you're any kind of Vol fan, you'd know that we never get respect. So why waste time on it?

Ok True vol...since everyone is entitled to an opinion, who would be your pick for big man on campus considering last weeks performance?

Please do not make references to my support of the University of Tennessee or my knowledge of the situation relative to national media attention...

If you had read additional threads on this board prior to making a statement concerning my status as "any kind of vol fan", I think you would find that for the most part, I am positive and excited about UT and am a huge supporter of the basketball team. I attend every home game and attended the game at Rupp last week.

Yes, I understand that Tennessee does not get respect, but I thought it was a complete oversight that his name was not in the running for big man on campus when ESPN's own Andy Katz and Dickie V game Lofton props for his performance against UK and UGA.

I would also point out that several people agreed with me. If you are a TRUE VOL, realize that when a fan shows support for a player through frustration over that player's accomplishments not being recognized that is an opinion and
everyone is entitled to their opinion

I'm not saying Lofton doesn't deserve POTW honors. I'm just saying if he didn't get it, is it the end of the world? Did you forget Reddick and Morrison's big games that same week?
