Crist brings both parties together...

Grab your fork... He's done.

The odd thing is how stupid Meeks' campaign is here. They pretty much can't win without Crist in the race.

Neither Crist nor Meek can win if the other is in, IMO. I don't think Meek can win, period. If Meek were to withdraw (never happen) or fade away real far (possible), then Crist could make a run at Rubio.

Talked ot Rubio supporter yesterday. He says the nice thing about the situaiton is that unlike traditional campaigns moving into the general part, Rubio will not be forced now to move to the middle. He can stay out on the far right and still win because Crist and Meek will split the moderate and progressive independents and Dems.

Speaking of Florida, there has been some earlier talk of Bill McCollum coming out and endorsing (D) Alex Sink. In the end, I don't see that happening. The GOP will to find a way to get McCollum to support Scott. Nonetheless, a lot of bitterness here in Florida.

What are Allen West's chances in the Florida 22 race? He won his primary pretty easily.

After seeing his concession speech, Bill McCollum only confirmed what everyone else already knew - that he is a whiney career politican and sore loser who just has sour grapes that he lost. He needs to go get his blankie and teddy bear, and run home to mommy so she can kiss and make it better.

If the Democrats can convince Meek to quit and support Crist, he and Rubio would be neck and neck. Rubio's support is more motivated, but it would be close.

I've never pictured Meek as being very bright. If he does end his campaign, then you're correct, Crist will largely have a better shot. At the very least, it would make this race more interesting. As of this moment, Rubio is running away, and the Democrats only chance is Charlie Crist being the only candidate on the ballot against Rubio come November.

Too many egos out there. It's amazing to watch corrupt egos transcending party lines and just willing to take the whole world down with you. It's one reason I'm enjoying this turnover.

Ya, career politicians don't mind watching the world burn. That's been true since the ancient Greeks.

that will never happen and you're a racist for even thinking it would be a good idea

Indeed. The irony is that it has allowed Rubio to run even further to the right on a lot of issues because he's occupying all of that ground while Crist and Meek fight over and share the middle and the left.

It appears that Clinton almost had Meek drop out of the race, but he then changed his mind. Good news for Rubio.

First Read - Report: Clinton urged Meek to drop Senate bid
Clinton campaigned with Meek in Florida on Oct. 19 and 20, and thought he had won Meek over in an evening conversation the night they spent together in Jacksonville. But as the week wore on, Meek lost his enthusiasm for the arrangement, spurred in part, a third Democratic source said, by his wife’s belief that he could still win the race. Clinton spoke with Meek again at week’s end, three Democrats said, and again Meek said he would drop out.

“It was a completely done deal,” one source said.

The Crist, Meek and Clinton camps even set a date for an endorsement rally: the following Tuesday, Oct. 26.

But Meek changed his mind again last weekend, writes Smith.

Ironic that they want a Dem to drop out so an "independent" (former Rep) can win.

This makes twice now that Clinton has tried to move Dems out of the way so former Republicans can win Senate seats.
