My highly unscientific research (reading lots of cop mysteries set all over the world) says that they are still very regional. Often their own dialect is their first language (Veneziane, for instance) and Italian second, with a healthy contempt for those not born and raised in the region.do Italians identify as Italian or by their region, such as Venitian, Tuscan, etc?
Since you bring it up. They're all the same, but you want to see a triggered little stick of Mexican dynamite, ask Chupa if she's Puerto Rican or Cuban.I had a girlfriend from Barcelona, I screwed up that relationship big time. It was very regional. She really didn't care about anything outside Catalonia.
My cousin was working for Pratt Whitney and they sent him to Spain. He met and came here to marry a Spanish lady. She was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. He apparently couldn’t keep up with her and they got divorced.I had a girlfriend from Barcelona, I screwed up that relationship big time. It was very regional.
