Culinary, Arts, Thread.

I should have edited my original post to include that I haven’t learned anything and might I say, I’ve been dumbed down by most of the posts I’ve read in here (outside of a few) for months.
No clue how much you know so sorry if I tell you something you already know.

Basics.
Don't buy any olive oil that doesn't
say Extra Virgin Olive oil. Don't buy any period that says "Light" or "lite". Don't buy any that says "Pure". Extra Virgin is cold pressed and that allows the antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients to be retained unharmed. The others are blended with oils that have been processed using heat and chemicals and most or all the good stuff is usually lost.

Ignore a "Best By date". It could have been sitting in a tank for years. Look for a harvest date. Good oils will have a harvest date. It's okay to have both, but not just the BB date. The closest harvest date to the present the better, but last year's is good!

Not all good ones will say it on the label but look for an Acidity % anything .05 or less is good. .02 and below is excellent. Lucini
from Publix is .02-.03 I think. It's so good.

There are lots of ways we can get screwed by olive oil distributors walking on a gray line with labeling and marketing. Pisses me off. Think your consuming it and enjoying great health benefits and your not is criminal.

Shut up TFG don't read it.

Haha, Joe, I didn't understand any of that about ketchup or Jessica, just the question about what I'm doing here. As for that, I honestly don't know...I didn't even know there was a zone. I think Behr dragged me in here while I was drunk. :)
Sometimes it’s just nice to have a vacation from day to day. This is the resort that isn’t what you saw in the brochure, but actually enjoy it when you get there.
