I don't think he understands the concept of Fast Food. He could buy a bottle of cheap tequila for what two shots cost him at the Mexican joint, but that's not as convenient. His idea of a tip is probably telling the server how great they did and to keep their chin up, life will get better for them cause Joe gonna let all they relatives come America.
