Culinary, Arts, Thread.

I am very interested in behrs approach to what ever ails him.

For the first time in my life, I've redirected my studying, knowledge and overall attention from how to make it the best it can be at all costs, to how can I make it the best it can be...and healthy. Not as easy as it it seems, for me anyway. So many things go against everything I've done in the past. Not to mention how everything is different, some subtle and some night and day, since quitting smoking. Blah blah blah.

There's also some medical issues that are motivating some of my choices. I won't go into detail because I don't like talking about it but I keep a daily log and one of the 13 columns is BM with the time of day. In March I went 11 times. So there. Alot of my diet is centered around that. It gets frustrating trying to plan meals that can aid that, taste good and help me move towards my goal of weight loss. I still have about 25 more pounds to go.

Breaking old habits like..."just add more butter" are hard to break...(Shout out to Bocephus).

My biggest obstacle right now, and always has been, seems pretty simple but I'm having so much trouble with, but it would make everything so much easier. Drink more water.

# 1 challenge for me out of all of it. Drinking more water. It's harder than quitting smoking for me.

Anyway, that's the short version. Lulz. Any questions I'll be glad to answer either out of curiosity or to be of help.

**Ill leave the details out, but Im happily obligated to say My spiritual journey has made any and all of it possible and successful.

I have a new easy recipe for Pepperoni Garlic knots. Do you know how hard it is for me not to make those and a blackened skrimp Alfredo to go along with them and finish it with a chocolate Lava cake with olive oil whipped cream?

Pfft, I'll have this glass of water instead. Yamay.

I set my phone timer to two hours and run it through the day. That helps, although it’s awfully annoying. It seems to be pretty necessary for me when I’m eating less.

Obviously everybody's situation and goals are different, but for me the main thing I have to concentrate on, besides drinking more water, is protein. Big protein intake works perfect for me because it fills me up and keeps me from wanting to snack. But it hard to get loads of Protein without getting loads of calories to go along with it. That's why I eat fish more than anything and why I'm trying it so many different ways.

I know it sounds easy, and it is if you don't care about options. Eating a piece of tuna 4 times a day would work perfectly, but I needs me something to go with it and I gotta switch thangs up.

I still drink 1 diet cherry 7up most days. Sometimes none, but never more than one.

I probably drink about 32 ounces of water a day, give or take 5-10 ounces. That doesn't include ginger tea or a Metamucil dosage at night.

Squeeze a lemon wedge into every glass of water.
To ensure that daily BM, a shot of apple Cider vinegar with the "mother" every morning.

My ginger tea has plenty of fresh lemon juice. Metamucil 2 teaspoons is in it also. 2 different medications, one prescription one otc. Chia seeds. I get plenty of fiber. Doctor thought too much may have been an issue.

That doesn't ensure it.
