A glaring stat that will ultimately come back to haunt this team...His inability to win the close ones...

More proof to the fact the man is way out of his league when it comes to coaching. Sorry Cuonzo but you need to go back to the Missouri Valley Conference.

If the game is close with 5 min. left, the other coach will beat Cuonzo. To win, we must open with energy and put the game away early. Zo is not an X's and O's guy.

That is really the main issue. Watching Syracuse down late to NC State.... those guys pressed and never folded. They caused 2 turnovers in last 20 seconds.

We are down late to UF and we back off, in games lime UM, A&M, Candy, we make mistakes at the end, don't hit shots when needed.

It is the difference right now in being 20-5 or 15-10.

I do believe it is mostly coaching too. Put the right players in during the right situations. Don't have bad FT shooters on the floor with a lead late. That kind of thing.

Also even if we win the rest of our games there is no way we make the tourney now. We have to win the SEC tourney or at least make the finals.

Cuonzo cant get it done. I was a Cuonzo fan initially, but he sank his own ship. Not sure if its realistic, but I would love for Pearl to come back.

Yesterday and throughout the season it has been frustrating to see our team come out of a time out and not have a good play called for an easy bucket. Yesterday at the end of 1st half Mizzou calls TO and comes out with an alley oop for a dunk, we call TO next and its a steal for them and breakaway dunk. The end of the game we almost had a 5 second call against us after a TO and he had 2 other chances with clock issues to draw something up. I wish we could see the stats on opponents and us after a TO all year on scoring on the next possession, it would be brutal.

No one is holding CM accountable, letting him get away with underperforming. Take the post game interviews as an example. They last approximately 2 to 3 minutes. On the chance you can hear what he says it is nothing. Last night the sportswriters could have had a field day with tough questions but didn't. A compliant press allows no accountability. Sound familiar?

I went back and looked at the scores for the year. WE ARE 0-4 IN GAMES DECIDED BY 5POINTS OR LESS (lost by 4 in 1st Xavier meeting; lost by 1 to Texas A&M; lost by 4 to Vandy; lost by 5 to Missouri). This team will not win if the game is to be decided in the last five minutes of it. Call it mental toughness, coaching, whatever, but this team has zero killer instinct. And we very, very competitive in the Wichita State, Kentucky, and last Florida game, but this team does not close out games. Just a fact.

We usually throw the ball away at the end of games or take and ill advised shot. That is why we never win the close ones.

Indeed it does. Kudos.
