Was big time scorer in EYBL, wondered why more weren't involved. RT @AdamZagoria: Tenn & WV are the new schools in Jon Severe Sweepstakes.

May not be a PG, but can put it in the basket. Scored 37 tonight.

I posted it in the recruiting news thread yesterday as well and we talked some on it. He's only 6'1" so maybe we see him as a PG, we must because we're loaded on the wings. He has a great shot but ball handling from what I've seen and read isn't pg level, so why the interest?

I just don't get it. Why are we acting as if it's so difficult to find a good ball handling PG? Owootoah and Jorgensen are both great ball handlers, elders not bad either, but we seem to be slow playing all 3.

Just don't get this staffs take on PGs.

Don't know about the others, but Jorgenson just flat out said he was interested in playing for an up tempo team like Creighton.
Maybe we're getting the 'not interested in your style' answer from these guys.

You may be on to something there. I suspect that's one reason both Pearl and now Martin are having a hard time recruiting PGs. (1) Neither the flex nor motion really showcase a PG and (2) Neither guy thinks he needs a "true PG" to run the offense. If I'm a PG who wants to run an offense, I probably look elsewhere, too.

I know Owootoah and Elder are both VERY interested, Jorgensen that may very well be the case though.

Unreal.

It is painfully obvious each game day how badly UT needs a true "point guard" - frankly they really need two point guards on the roster. Zo and his staff need to turnover every rock in order to find a point guard (or two).

Valid point Bleed. I believe CCM must think he can take a wing to run his motion offense. What's ur take on Landry??

Think he will be better than many expect, but don't think he'll ever be a 30 minute a night PG in the SEC.

I think he'll be a lot like Lopez, be able to get the ball down the court fine, but just not a participant in the offense.

Back to Severe, here's a video clip. Just one of many on Youtube. This doesn't show a lot, Severe (No. 10 in white jersey with day-glo yellow shoes and socks) launches three long bricks in the 13 minutes. The most distinctive thing I saw was that he must have cleaned the bottoms of his shoes 30 times in this 13 minutes. Not the primary ball handler on this team.
