I hope that we will not be soft. I personally like that style of play. Hard-nosed defense, rebounding, and most important, not turning the ball over. I almost can't wait til next season.

Not concerned about playing style and UT fans shouldn't either. WINNING is what matters. Period.

I felt like I was reading a MHF post.

Great article btw.

Ware and Jones would be crazy not to play for this man. Scotty would benefit with another year and probably Tobias, too. I wonder if he will stand for some of the ESPN highlight showboating instead of shooting easy layups for points? Maybe he will get the team to practice free throws so we can finish games with a W.

Interesting that Landry called out Scotty to stay, saying it would benefit him. Probably won't have much of an impact on his decision, but I liked hearing it

I love when it talked about how he would call you out at practice if you weren't pulling your weight. We need this. Bad.

Does he cuss?

With that glare and his intensity he does. MSU's best player, Kyle Weems had redshirted the year before Zo arrived and was already being called one of the greatest players that MSU has had, even before suiting up. Weems very first practice/workout with the new coach was an eye-opener for him. He did not finish the practice....he couldn't physically do it. Coach Martin told the prize recruit and supposed future superstar "Son, you are NOT going to be able to play for me or this program. Work harder or you've got some decisions to make." Needless to say Kyle worked harder and was the MVC Player of the Year as a junior this year.

Ask every player to describe coach Zo and practice and before answering, their eyes get wide and they shake their heads........"hard, but fair and it made me a better player" is pretty much the consensus.

I like a lot of what you say about Martin.
