Slow-paced, but very efficient offense. Kind of like Richmond in that they thrive on three-point efficiency (first in MVC this year in 3PT%; they took 18 threes per game). Not many turnovers (only 10 per game, which would be a huge improvement for UT). Defense wasn't anything special this year in terms of efficiency, but they did only allow 63 PPG due to the style of play.
In terms of the offense, though, think Big Ten-style (Purdue, maybe?). We might be boring, but you won't see nearly as many of the idiotic attempts from Tatum. Martin doesn't take **** from anyone.
You seem to forget we played them this year in the NIT tipoff. They gave us all we wanted. 60-56. Seem to have a pretty good offense for a bunch of 2 and 3 star players.
A former player at Purdue that played in the NBA. Martin could turn out to be a great hire. Only time will tell. Go to the Purdue chat boards and their fans wanted Martin as their next coach if Painter leaves Purdue for Mizzou.
