Just an interesting stat.

February's nice, but the March record is what turns a good coach into a great coach

+1. I want to see what he can do in the Big Dance. I have all faith in CCM still. I think we've seen what he can do at full strength.

Yeah all the Cuanzo haters should not be allowed to cheer for this game. Its easy to like a guy when he wins but you have to support him the whole year even when it gets really hard to do.

It's hard to judge by just two years, but next year, Martin has got to get the guys ready to play as soon as the season starts. The time for a team to find it's identity is in the off season. You've got to be able to hit the ground running. That slow start to the regular and conference season is going to keep us out of the tournament again. We have to fix that for next season.

This team really had to step up the last 2 games against 2 of our biggest BB rivals & they did that. Keep it going Tues vs LSWho!!

It's frustrating to see us getting better about two weeks too late. Same thing as last year. It's encouraging to see improvement. I just wish it would happen earlier. Barring another major injury, no excuses next year.

This ^^^^

Maybe there have been extenuating circumstances, but next year's team can't bury it's chances early and wait until Feb to get things going. Don't have a clue what it is. The system doesn't seem so complicated that it takes 2 1/2 months of the season to install. Especially, since they seem to have abandoned much of it - grind it out half court defense and offense in favor of push it, run the court and jump the passing lanes - in the last two weeks.

i just wish martin could recruit...

Stokes, Richardson, Moore, Reese all look like they have potential. Oh yeah and signed Hubbs top 15 player. AJ Davis top 150 player. Hmmm but yeah he's not signing all 5 star players so he can't recruit.

Here's my hope...that it's a coincidence.

Last year it was first year we all know they weren't playing his style until around conference time. This year no Maymon, golden injuries etc seems to have caused them to start slow.

Maybe it is something to do with his style or something, but I'm gonna hope not. We need to come out of the gates blazing next year.

I think part of it reflects Martin's focus on aspects other than game preparation. Don't know who the chief scout is on CCM's staff, but he needs to beef up that aspect (get someone like Jason Shay) and get more focused on winning the game in front of him. I think he really gets focused on winning games in February. Not so much in November/December.
