the last three years (including his last season at Missouri State and this season):
16-5
Just an interesting stat.
It's hard to judge by just two years, but next year, Martin has got to get the guys ready to play as soon as the season starts. The time for a team to find it's identity is in the off season. You've got to be able to hit the ground running. That slow start to the regular and conference season is going to keep us out of the tournament again. We have to fix that for next season.
It's frustrating to see us getting better about two weeks too late. Same thing as last year. It's encouraging to see improvement. I just wish it would happen earlier. Barring another major injury, no excuses next year.
Here's my hope...that it's a coincidence.
Last year it was first year we all know they weren't playing his style until around conference time. This year no Maymon, golden injuries etc seems to have caused them to start slow.
Maybe it is something to do with his style or something, but I'm gonna hope not. We need to come out of the gates blazing next year.
