when they played UT we were actually playing good basketball (would beat VCU and Nova a week later and Pitt soon after).

I guess the OP would be twice as happy if Belmont coach was hired seeing he almost beat us twice this year.

That said Missouri St was a very well coached team and we were fortunate to win.

I'll miss Coach Pearl because he actually made me care about college basketball, much less TN basketball. This year was bad (after the 7th game) but the other 5 were fun.

I wasn't trying to discredit Coach Martin though. While my initial reaction to his hire was "WHO?!?" I'm willing to give the guy a chance.
