Predictions on who goes where?

Ball State
Colorado - Gus Malzahn
Kent State
Miami - Gary Patterson
Minnesota - Randy Shannon or Leslie Frazier
North Texas
Vanderbilt - Mike Leach

Predictions on other possible job openings?

Arizona State
Clemson
Indiana
Illinois
Wake Forest
Washington State

Clemson and Wake Forest might give their coach another year. I was tempted to add Purdue and UCLA but I think both coaches will get another year.

There's no grumbling at Clemson or Wake, let alone a strong movement to fire the coach. Clemson still believes in Dabo, and Wake knows they aren't doing better than what they have.

Zook is safe at Illinois, with them getting to bowl eligibility.

You might add Michigan to your list. They ain't happy with what happened yesterday at all. If they can get Harbaugh, Rich Rod is gone.

Illinois deserves to lose to Fresno State and finish 6-6 then if they are willing to keep Zook. He is awful.

Zook at Illinois...

2005 2–9
2006 2–10
2007 9–4
2008 5–7
2009 3–9
2010 6–5
=== 27-44

It's gonna be an interesting off-season. I think Malzahn gets a HC job and Troy Calhoun moves. I'm not sure how loyal Tuberville is to Tech, and Leach is still floating around out there. Sumlin could move from Houston. Kragthorpe and Franchione have been mentioned in a few articles. But as for where each one lands, who knows? It'll become more evident once a few places make decisions.

Kragthorpe probably never get a HC job for a long time.. Unless it is somewhere like New Mexico or someone with low expectations.

I didn't say Zook was any good. There's plenty of evidence that he isn't. I said he was likely to keep his job. He was on a "bowl game or else" mandate and Illinois is going bowling.

Now if they lose 60-14 in the bowl or something like that, then things might change.

Gotchya. I was just looking at the fact that outside of one season, he never really improved the team. I suppose that depends on the final two games.

I'd say...

6-7 fire him.
7-6 either or.
8-5 keep him.

I just saw on some MiamiSwagg page on Facebook that they are interested in Brent Venables (Oklahoma DC) but its just a rumor...

And his one good year in 2007 they got a joke invitation to the Rose Bowl and got a deserved beatdown.

Ball State is expected to sgo after Trent Miles of Indiana State. Miles took over a ISU team that had the nations longest losing streak at 37 games and turned them into a 6-5 team this season and one that put up around 40ppg.

At least I got one right. I hadn't heard anything about Indiana's coach being fired but looking at Lynch's resume at Indiana, I thought it was possible.

Lynch has been fired at Indiana, announcment today. I think Danny Hope's job at Purdue is safe for one more year. Purdue was hammered with injuries this year and lost thier starting QB,RB and all conference WR. He'll get one more year.
