I don't know what the answer is and I know it's hard to follow a legend but my god we are bad fundamentally. We are a turnover machine and have no clue how to use Mercedes Russell. Deshields is our best player and she is inconsistent. We got McDonald's All Americans all around but you can't tell it.

Ain't happening folks. We're stuck with her as she was given a contract extension.

Didn't see the game tonight, but it sounds like if I've seen the other losses that this one was about the same. I get that you had to give CHW the job out of respect and loyalty, but hasn't that grace period expired yet? They have McDonald's All-Americans all over the court, but they can't break 60 and lose to sub .500 teams.

Matthew Mitchell at UK would seem like a good option. This is still a top 5 job.

There are much better coaches out there then Mitchell and with much better attitudes. We don't need an a$$____ to come in and make this team worse. Get rid of CHW and bring in the best there is. It;s time that The Lady Vols rise to the top again. Do your job Dave Hart, Holly sure isn't.

If you wait a year or two you might be able to get Kim Mulkey when the Big 12 blows up and Baylor is on the outside looking in.

If you can tolerate her outfits ;)

After watching the S.C./Ken. game, this was like watching Jr. High basketball. Neither team deserves to win. Dykes should have stayed in game color announcing and Holly needs to get on her Bike and take a long ride and never look back.

I never see her name when fans of the LV's talk about a coaching change but I think Melanie Balcomb of Vanderbilt would make an excellent coach foe UT she's smart and tough.

I really, REALLY, hope you are kidding.:lolabove: she is probably going to be available after this year due to her poor performance and while she is a better coach than Holly, but just no.
if there is a coaching change, and I doubt there will be this year, it must be a great hire to restore our woman's basketball to at least a top 10 level.

Warlick is by far the worst coach in the SEC. Now in post game she jumps on Diamond, really? The Lady Vols are done put a fork in them. Warlick has no idea how to utilize talent.

The program has slipped somewhat but if she remains another year, it will slip that much further.
At this point, we can get a good assistant from UConn, etc. etc. to put the program back in shape in short order because we still have capable players.
Another year or two and the program will look like Dooley had been coaching the ladies.

This team already looks like Dooley is coaching them, sans the orange pants. I'm not sold on our talent level either, but consider the current coach recruited these young ladies. DD is blessed with talent, but Holly's inept coaching has set her back to the point where she may not be able to recover, especially with uneducated fans who place much of the LV ills on Diamond's back.

Cooper and Jackson were recruiting misses. Dangerfield will prove to be much better at UConn, wait and see. Russell is either overrated or unbelievably under coached. I'm not sure unless we see a new coach work with her. I do know she played better this past summer under different leadership.

Dunbar and Middleton are never in the game long enough to properly guage their talent levels. Reynolds and Moore take up space and waste scholarship bucks. Carter and Nared have talent but may never be sharpshooters. Our guards can't get Bash the ball, so her abilities are wasted.

Worst coaching staff and assembly of talent in LV history. I won't go to another game until Holly is gone. I can't threaten to take my contributions away as an alumnus because my "athletic" funds go to Pat's foundation. And I've spoken to our president letting him know my scholastic yearly checks have stopped until Cheek is gone. As alumni and fans, we only can talk with our dollars, which hopefully gain the attention of administrators.

It's a sad time to be a LV fan. Is it time for football season yet?

All I know is that Tennessee women's basketball was, for years and years, regarded as the preeminent program in the entire country. Under Pat Summitt, the aura of near invincibility persisted until her waning years at the helm. Under Holly, there is no aura whatsoever over the program in Knoxville; no one fears the Vol girls the way they used to. Ms. Warlick doesn't even seem to possess the tools to get our girls back to dominance in the SEC, never mind the national stage. I believe regime change is in order.

Mitchell does have a UT background and has a proven coaching record...give Kyra Elza credit for his defense. There are other excellent choices Kelly Jolly Harper, Jody Adams...forget Nikki as she is one season short of being fired at LSU...then she and Warlick can ride off into the sunset. Although no coaching experience, Kara Lawson would have to be a good consideration, if she wants to coach. I think she would quickly make the changes needed, build a good staff and be an excellent recruiter...smartest player we ever had too.
