Not so fast my friend :nono: , Cutcliffe was going to be on Notre Dames staff until he had his heart troubles..And he was not going to be the Head Coach.

I doubt he will come back because he knows that anything less than a 10 win season will be criticized and next year everyone would be calling talk shows and posting threads asking where is Randy Sanders?. Why would he want to deal with that?

Cutcliffe, or as I like to call him, "He that the vastly fickle Vol fans hated until recently when it became convenient to change their stripes" has publically stated that he would only consider an HC job.

He and Rick Clausen, however, ARE considering recording an album of notoriously bad crossover country and pop-rock song covers which revolve around lovers whose tune changes faster than a fast-food french fry goes stale.

That was before his health troubles, he has since let it be known if he returns to coaching it will be as an HC only.

1.cuts first priority is his health. if he isnt absolutely ready, he wont go anywhere.
2.hes looking hc first, if he cant find a good hc position, oc will suffice.
3.hes verbally pointed out that he wont take sanders job because of their relationship.

If RS was fired then Cutcliff would only be filling a vacancy. Not necessarly taking his job.

But for me Cutcliff is better than Sanders but I would like to see someone completly new and fresh. New ideas, good coaching skills, high intensity. :td:

it would be just filling a vacancy, but he said himself if crs is fired, he wont take the position. but i agree, id like to see a fresh new face.
