Granted, Georgia could still come back and find a way to win this thing but its also possible that Ga got their confidence shook to the point they dont recover.

That said, Saturday reminded me of how Dabo handled his QB situation in 2018. He had a competent QB in Kelly Bryant that he made the CFP with in 2017. Problem was Dabo knew Bryant could win the ACC but he couldnt beat Alabama. So Dabo went to the freshman Lawrence who was less experienced but more talented with the arm ability to challenge Alabama's defense. Well , we know the "rest of the story", right?

Kirby on the other hand had exactly they same situation except Bennett couldnt even win the SECEast last year. Instead of playing the more talented QB, Kirby got intoxicated beating up on the weak SEC East with Bennett full well knowing the Bama challenge was straight ahead. Well, history repeated itself to some degree (the QB wasnt the sole reason Ga got this ass kicked). Kirby failed to recognize who the real challenger was. He'd most likely would have gone undefeated in the regular season with me at QB.

Once alabama offense got a read on the ga defense, their confidence was shaken because the Ga players knew they werent playing with anywhere close to same talent at QB. The game got worse as it went on.

This isnt Kirby's first fiasco with QB issues. Its frankly his 3rd in 6 years. He's always chosen the less talented Ga boy.

There has to be something going on with JT unless it’s just SB got them this far with JT out so he’s not gonna mess with the situation. If JT’s been healthy for awhile then he needed to be inserted in the regular season when a game didn’t mean as much to get him the reps and ease him back in.

Edit: JT played vs. Mizzou and Charleston Southern so I don’t understand him not getting more run. He’s clearly back from his injury.

Or, it could be that Kirby shares many traits with Slingblade, including an inability to manage QBs, and a stubborn insistence on sticking with one guy despite clear indications to switch.

Saw somewhere that Kirby and Daniels have not even spoken in over a month.

Whether that's true or not??

Gotta wonder what Daniels will do after this season? He's already used his one transfer.

Funny part of it all is that Daniels and Rattler were supposed to battle it out for the Heisman this year. Didn't really turn out well for either party did it?

Bennett is more mobile than Daniels. Bama would've had a field day tee'ing off on him sitting back there.
Lawrence was plenty mobile than people ga e him credit for. Lawrence was an elite QB, better than Kelly Bryant. Bennett is a good game manager that is mobile. Daniels may be a good game manager, but he's not mobile at all.
Smart is a prick, and has a very punchable face, but Bennett is the right call. It is what it is.

This isn't the first time CKS benched a starter after injury/recovery. And lost the other back-up in the process.
