Why is it such a bad thing for Jeff to pay tribute to Dale Sr.?? I don't get some of you guys. Junior isn't just saying this stuff for PR, it was a classy move on Jeff's part. As for the morons that throw stuff, well I won't get started on this subject.
"It means the world," Gordon said. "Holding that 3 flag, it's certainly by no means saying we're as good as him. I learned so much from him. We wanted to honor him. We've been holding on to that flag for a long time." One of the first drivers to congratulate Gordon in Victory Circle was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
"That means the world to me because I didn't want to come across the wrong way," Gordon said. "We wanted to show tribute and honor."
I don't get it either. What was classless about the gesture? Whatever you think of JG, it looked to me like a pretty benign; respectful tribute, but some people sure did get fired up about it.
Is there honestly any reasoning other than people not liking Jeff Gordon? :dunno:
I'm sure you have valid reasons, I just don't know what they are . . . hence I asked a simple nonthreatening question in an effort to have a discussion.
I stated why in another thread, but you probably won't agree with me after you read it, so what is the point in posting it again?

Maybe Jeff should have come out and did a victory burnout on the 3 flag, then people would have a honest reason to jump the #24 about it.
lol: lol: lol: lol:I've got a feeling Jeff could careless if the Earnhart Nation likes him or not..lol
