I'm 33, I semi remember the parents watching it. I have no idea what it is about other than rich people living in Texas and some guy named JR was important.

Big time show back when most people seemed to have only 3 channels. I remember watching a spinoff show called Knots Landing.

I haven't seen the ratings, but I can't say that I'm too surprised. Old folks include the Baby Boomers, and there is a ton of them!

I'm 32 and have it on DVR also! Haven't got around to watching it yet. I did see the first five minutes or so and it at least appears they didn't screw with the classic opening theme!

I liked what I saw. ...Jordana Brewster being on the show also helps a bunch.

I am not old enough to remember or have watched the original, but I watch this series. Pretty good show in my humble opinion.
