Harris is going to redshirt unless Patterson or Wingate gets hurt. Pearl has mentioned several times that he does not feel that Harris is ready to play on this level.

I knew he was red shirting but I was wondering if anyone knew how he was coming along. I heard Coach Pearl say that we was really weak for his size and that they had to get him stronger.

He was VERY weak and VERY overweight. From what I have heard he has gotten a lot stronger. I heard the kid had never worked out before so I am sure he has made some huge gains in the weight room. He looks to me like he has already lost quite a bit of weight. I saw him practice before the season, and he looks a lot more fit now.

He's a typical Buzz Peterson recruit who might make a contribution by his senior year. Other than CJ Watson, and Lofton who fell in his lap, he recruited SEC bench talent. Glad he's gone and even happier that he's now riding buses and playing in high school like gyms. He should just feel fortunate that we had an athletic director that knew nothing about basketball that hired him. It goes to show you that sometimes it's who you know rather than what you know that gets you a job. Buzz is a case in point and I don't think any major college program will be hiring him again.

Passley went to a Jr College and enrolled but never played at UWM (Pearl's former school). I believe he will have three years to play three if I am not mistaken. I saw somewhere one time that he was a top 150 caliber player but I don't know how accurate that is.

I would say at the beginning of the season, Damien was close to a B-cup....shirts or skins?....uh......I'll be on shirts.

His brother Cordell is a 4 star guard who committed to UT this past summer, but he doesn't graduate high school until 2008.

Harris only averaged 10 points at a prep school, which is little higher than high school level. He's basically just a fat weak guy.

cordell wont be 4*. the guy is being considered as a top 10 recruit for 2008 by some sources. he may be the top pg in his class by time he graduates.

I like the optimism, but remember, Wingate was considered one of the 10 best players in his class as a freshman and sophomore. 2008 is a long way off.
