He’s got an axe to grind against Florida. Napier only has like 11 players who were even on the team the last time TN played in Gainesville, Mullen is salty about that.

Ironically, I noticed this evening that a former Mullen RB recruit is now playing cornerback at Bethune freakin Cookman. That’s all that needs to be said about Mullen’s talent acquisition.

Sometimes ex coaches need to not take sides. I remember BJ smoking a cigar. Not a good look singing Rocky Top. Grinding axe's almost always proves the point of why they were fired. At least he didn't fetch Saban's coffee or make sure Saban's Mercedes had the bird crap washed off.

Good coach that had one down year and dumb Florida fans ran him out. If the program was smart they would have kept him and forced him to focus on recruiting or hire someone on his staff that specialized at it. Considering how much NIL does the hard work for a program like Florida, Mullen would have eventually got high profile recruits. Thankfully he was run off just in time or he would do much more with what Napier is being given..

Butch was 34-27 at Tennessee and 0-8 in SEC play his last season. Program was headed nowhere.
Mullen was 34-15 at Florida. He had a bad year. Fans gave up on him quickly. He did alot for that program considering he was there during the Swamp King years. Should have been given the benefit of the doubt considering his track record at MSST. And on top of that they were coming off terrible coaches in Jim McElwain and Will Muschamp. To be run out so quickly is discgraceful and Flrida gets what they deserve.

Yeah, I agree. BJ smoking that cigar in our locker room after Bama beat us took all respect I had for that guy away. Before that moment, I thought he did what was best for UT and it just simply did not work... I really was not even that upset that he wanted the university to pay him the rest of his contract. I would have done the exact same thing. We are not not talking chump change. I did not have hard feelings towards him until he was in one of our locker rooms celebrating like a spineless clown smoking that cigar. I hope gets everything that is coming to him now.

Ummmm, I'll pass but hey, thanks for the offer Mrs. M !!

I was going to say, in the picture later in the article, the player is clearly making one of those awkward faces that gives me the (I want to get the HELL away from her) vibe.

Most of those players could do better.
