He does say "...for the spring". Sounds like another janzen. Odd that he doesn't say not returning to Tennessee.

FWIW. This thread has no means of bashing gray. I understand what he's going through. Prayers needa be sent his way.

Not trying to be insensitive but I would say our newest commit influenced this. The kid asked him on twitter what pos he played and well....

A lot of jumping to conclusions.

How? He stated he won't be here for spring. Failed classes + Not learning the New scheme means he more than likely will not play next season. Not bashing him at all. He also stated he would be playing ball in Florida.

Who knows if he comes back or not but it's not uncommon for people to say things they don't mean after something as emotional as losing a family member/friend. First and foremost my thoughts are with him and his loved ones dealing with their loss.

He's a kid, it's tough.. especially in south Florida. This will take a while to play out, but let's not to over react because of a few tweets. Give him some time to think about it. I wish him nothing but the best, and prayers for whatever is bothering him.

Daniel went through a very bad deal in October with a family member or close friend who was critically hurt. It's a big part of why he struggled during the season.

I'd slow down on this a little bit. He is tweeting about someone close to him dying and it hurting so bad he doesn't want to come back. I don't think it was any declaration or anything official. Just a hurt 18 year-old on Twitter. We'll see how it plays out.

I kind of agree. I think I would wait a little bit to let things settle out. It might be rash and in the spur of the moment. Not trying to be insensitive.

Best of luck to DG. The worst thing in the world is losing someone close to you, hopefully we will see him in Orange, but thats the least important thing right now.

Prayers to Daniel. Hope he comes back and let his teamates help him through his loss similar to what Dan Hood did this year.

This. Unfortunately, Twitter allows all the stupid things we say and don't mean to be published for public consumption. Teenagers rarely are cognizant enough to realize why that's a bad thing.

Hope the young man will be okay and do whatever is best for him.

This seems like a good opportunity for the Vol fanbase to show some class and support a kid, regardless if he chooses to keep playing football. Show this guy some love and the true meaning of VFL.
