This is the word from several high ranking John Purdue Club Members (Purdue's highest donor club). My family are all diehard Boiler fans and the wheels are falling off quickly after another slow start and several players have blasted Hope and staff to the media and online.

I've meet him a few times with my dad and he's a good guy but he's lost total control of the team and alot of players from the past two seasons are now coming out blasting him on the way he runs practices and deals with team issues. Right now this team is far from making a bowl game this season..I don't even think making one will save his job honestly the way it sounds.

He beat Michigan and Ohio State in the same season...a season which saw them end at 4-8, I think. Sad.

ETA: My mistake. 5-7.

Anyone linked to this job as a possible replacement? Don't want to start baseless rumors, but realize our OC was once the OC there and not sure if there would be interest.

Early rumors circulating is Kevin Sumlin of Houston and Beckman of Toledo. Purdue has never been willing to lay down big $$ for coaches until they finally paid Matt Painter when he was just about to bolt for Mizzou. Alot of the diehard fans want Joe Tiller back.

Tim Beckman would be a solid and safe hire. He's already beaten Purdue, so he's got that! Plus, he's done a great job at Toledo in three years.
