While I agree with this, it is also why Hamilton hired Dooley in the first place. He was shopping with a low budget, and he mistakenly thought Dooley had more "sizzle" than Sumlin or Cutcliffe. If Dooley is fired, it is to re-ignite the passion of the fanbase by giving them some reason to hope for future success when deciding whether to donate and renew. If they lose the press conference, they will not get the desired effect. I'd never even heard of this guy until I opened the thread. Not enough sizzle IMO.

That is not why he hired Dooley. We hired him because Kiffin left us 20 days before national signing day. Dooley was hired on January 15th and NSD was February 3rd. Hamilton went after Chris Petersen and Will Muschamp but they turned us down. I'm pretty sure there were about 10 people that turned us down before Dooley accepted. Between taking over late to salvage the class and not wanting to do to their program what Kiffin did to us, Dooley was the best we could get given the circumstances. That's why we ended up with Dooley, not because Hamilton was working with a low budget.
