Speaking of loving profile pictures, your Orion is awesome.

Was lucky and got to fly a lot of different aircraft, but I loved the P-3 mission and enjoyed the crew management part of that. It was such a stable, reliable platform.

Just to show how much has changed, I got to my fleet squadron in late '78. We were flying P-3C Updates, the newest tech available. The computer had 48K of memory. A fraction of what my phone has today.

Loved my P-3 days (VP-56 ‘73-77) VP-6 (‘82-84) ans ASWOC KEF (‘89-92). Rest of the time was SH-2 and SH-60

Oh, you're one of the guys that made or broke the tactical mission. A great acoustic sensor operator was gold. You fought other mission commanders for the good ones. Our sensor 1 on my first crew was great and the best part was he was ridiculously underrated because of his quiet personality. I did a Misawa deployment and a Keflavik deployment (in the winter). Kef was the major leagues as far as the number and diversity of the stuff the Russians were running out then (1980) and he nailed it all.

Thank you for your service and your dedication, Senior Chief.

He is an underrated all time great!

His son is a bigtime recruit. Have we offered?

We did offer him ... and he picked Oklahoma back in April. Darryl Hardy was a very good LB for Tennessee from 1988-1991. He blocked the Notre Dame FG attempt at the end of the 1st half in 1991, which Floyd Miley scooped up and ran for a long TD. It made the comeback in the "Miracle at South Bend" possible.

His kids don't like Tennessee for some reason ...

One of my favorite players on The Hill. I don't know why I was think Daryl may live in New York possibly away from his son. I could be wrong and it's another ex-player.
