Over the weekend, the University of North Carolina hosted many from in-state this past weekend on unofficial visits. One of those at the Dean Dome seeing the Tar Heel basketball team play and visiting with Butch Davis and his staff was Tennessee commitment Daryl Vereen. So what does that mean to the Vols?

He plans to go to UT, he hasn't decided if he wants to make an official visit to UNC or not. He's basically just checking out the new Staff - he noted the old staff did not recruit him. He said Fulmer is coming next week for a visit with him and nothing has changed with UT in his mind

He also said the report that he has been on campus at UNC on "numerous" occasions is completely false. He said this past weekend was the first time that he has been on campus at UNC to meet with coaches. He sounds like he is pretty solid.

He is a sleeper. He is very underrated.

The rankings aren't finished yet fellas. He may be underrated right now but he could(doubt it though) move up to a 4*.

Vereen has scheduled official visits to both North Carolina and N.C. State in the month of January, despite insisting his commitment to Tennessee is firm.

Is this recent? Because in his interview just yesterday he said he might take an official but he thought it was doubtful.

I read it on the front page of Scout.com today. As we all know, they could be wrong... again.
