It feels like defenses are still respecting our passing game, perhaps overly respecting it. Is there any source that would provide data on how often we are seeing single-high, cover-2, cover-3 etc? Or even men "in the box" numbers?

It felt like TAMU stayed in cover-2 and cover-3 for most of the game and we were able to win by way of running with a numbers advantage "in the box".

I wonder if teams will begin to respect our running game and try to play more single-high safety coverage?

I suspect that we'll see it this Saturday.

Saban will try to capitalize on DPI no calls and home field advantage.

It feels like if we get beat we will just grab by other teams. Our wideouts aren't as strong to fight through it without Bru.

Regardless of the opposition, why wouldn't the opposing team load the box until TN can prove the receivers can catch the ball farther than 20 yrds from scrimmage? If we don't have some decent short/medium catches and a couple of deep throws (not intercepted) then think running will be hard to sustain. 3 & outs will be the order of the day. Interestingly I haven't noticed any screen passes, other than to the perimeter. I'm not a fan of overusing them but looks like once in awhile we could get one to work.
