I know they are on Dec 20 and 21, but I can’t find which seeds play in which slot? Anyone else? Like which day/time slot is 8 vs 9 and which is 7 vs 10, etc?

That won't be announced until the bracket is out. TV will put the most attractive matchups in prime time and nobody knows the bracket yet.

I’m actually surprised we got the prime time spot on Saturday.

Ratings matter, that’s why we are in the 8 PM slot on Saturday night, 2 brand name teams playing………..eyes will be watching. It’s cold for both teams. Tee it up and let the chips fall where they fall. Go Vols!

Of course. They want that B1G team with as big an advantage as possible against an SEC team.
Meh. You would expect the 8 vs 9 game to be the marquee matchup of the 1st round, and I think it is. ABC wants the game which will yield the highest Nielsen ratings percentage share in that time slot. I think it's exciting. A great opportunity for the program on a night (the Saturday before Christmas) when a lot of people will be gathered at sports bars (after finishing up their last minute shopping).

I have a feeling the SMU/Penn State game on TNT at 12pm is going to have low ratings.
It would have been a better move for the committee to have matched SMU vs Texas and Clemson vs Penn State. All they had to do was reverse their seeding. SMU #12 and Clemson #11. With Clemson having just beaten SMU, it would have been easy to justify.

And honestly, shouldn't Clemson be seeded higher since they beat SMU in the Conference Championship ? Didn't Clemson dominate most of that game ?
