Wasn't sure where to put this under, but it's an article about Hart when he had hired Steve Robinson. I fear that this will be how Cuonzo will go. Too many similarities. We are in losing season 1 and have 3 more to go.

This is pretty much the same way how the CBJ hire went down also, at least I would assume.

Even the comments that Steve Robinson says, is scary close to CBJ's.

One player that has good averages and progressively getting better is Stokes. Stokes is Martin's "guy". Stokes wouldn't be here if not for Martin. Let's see what Hubbs brings and the other guards. Maymon will help significantly next year. This team is potentially tourny team with Maymon, it's not, without him.

If Butch wins Hart will get full credit and accolades and the fans wanting his head might as well smash their heads against the wall he built underneath his feet...if Butch fails then that wall will show it's faulty mortar and you can just kick it out from under him. Trae will be here next year, and we will be a better team because of it. I assume you're thinking of Hall. As for McBee, well, he's been taking up a valuable scholarship slot for the past 3 years...

Robinson was very similar to Buzz and Jerry Green. He kept getting jobs because of his UNC/Roy Williams connections. Finally hit the "Peter Principle" level when he went to the ACC.

Lesson here - hire coaches based on accomplishments, not their biography or who they coached with or played for.

The problem is people want to automatically compare Pearl to Martin, which is dumb. Pearl was one of a kind for our program, on and off the court. He also hurt our program, and it effected the talent that was left. I certainly want a coach that wins, but we shouldn't expect another Bruce Pearl.

As for Hart, I could not believe how he handled the football hire, but we will see how it turns out. I am certainly impressed with Jones' first two months. There does seem to be some similarities when Hart hired Robinson back in the day, but I am not sure what it has to do with our basketball program. Martin will not be fired this year and will get a chance next year with some good talent. As long as he progresses next year and makes the tourney, he will be here a while.

Where's Golden going? He's only a junior. Agree with you on some points, getting Maymon back is huge, like having another 5 star recruit. By all accounts getting Robert Hubbs is huge. But I think you do hold Cuonzo responsible for players regressing. Also, how does he have no one else on the team that can play point? And this team CANNOT take care of the ball which drives me nuts. I like Martin and hope/think he turns it around next year given how he got em going last year. But next year is huge for his job.

So far it looks like players regress under CM not get better. I say he's gone after this year, he's not Hart's guy.
