you know what's sad about that pic...ok, only sad for aggies i'm sure....it shows how bad our D still is.

that's Jaxson Appel, and last year (coach Frans first) he led the team with the most tackles....

it sucks when your safety does that....

Well, our safety has led the team in tackles this year. We still managed out 10 wins. But I agree, that is never a good thing.

yikes, i didnt realize y'alls safety led the team in tackles...

its never a good thing, for the most part it shows major weakness in the D.

i wasn't using this as an excuse by any means, y'all played to win and we didnt, just making conversation

I didn't think of it as an excuse, I know where you are coming from. Our defense has been week for most of the season. Our Defense is really young though. We won't graduate any of our line and our secondary this year has been mostly freshman, a couple of sophmores at times and one Junior. Next year though, I look for this defense to be in the top 20 easy.

our defense, is sorta young, but our problem is they are SLOW...

we had big improvement over last year though...defense was ranked 112 i think last year and ended up 59 this year...big improvement, but still a long way to go.

I miss the times from when I was in school and everyone feared our defense...the offense pretty much sucked, but the defense was good enough that they won the games for us...

hopefully we will get our D back to where it used to be.

I've had "discussions" more than once this year with some current students when they started calling our D "wrecking crew" which USED to be the nickname...I informed them that it took more then 1 play or 1 game to make and then take away that name initially and it sure is going to take that again...

we are getting closer, just not there yet.

i'm really just happy for the improvement from last year...i never expected a bowl game this year, i was just hoping to finish above .500 :)

Yeah, the defense that I saw yesterday was not the wrecking crew. I am not trying to rub it in, just stating the obvious. I would think that in a couple of years you all will be back to full wrecking status. Just having that traditional name has to help some. But from 112 to 59 is a huge improvement.

what i've seen the last 3 seasons has not been the wrecking crew.

i dont take it as a jab or a rub in, it is the obvious.

right now, imo, they do not have that name, and Torbush pretty much has said the same thing, they have to earn it to be called that.
