David Ragan...

I think he has a better than even chance. He needs a couple top 5's to be sure. Bristol could make or break him and several others.

Yep,he finished 21st earlier this season at Bristol, so I have no clue on a prediction yet.

There are a few in the lower part of the top 12 who would take 21st if they were guaranteed it over having to rely on chance.

I don't know. All those cars finished well last time. Then again,it's no guarantee for this time.

I would like to see him make it.. who will fall out?

I hope its Hamlin after hearing him whine yesterday, "We dont even deserve to be in the chase" :cray:

I hope Ragan gets in, he deserves it. Saying that, he's not one of the 12 best drivers out their. I'd give anything if Hamlin would fall out.

Maybe they should borrow some magnets from their nationwide brothers.:p

i'd be pretty disappointed if my season played out the way his has as well. i don't see what was so bad about what he said. that's what you get when you stick a mic in a guys face right after he gets out of the car.

to make the Chase, one has to be doing something right.

the 12th best driver in the series? probably not. yet.

i would be willing to call him the 12th best driver this year, provided he gets in.

He's not running in the top 5 much, but he doesn't run out of the top 20 and have many DNF's. Ragan really is a likable guy if you ever listen to him. He just seems like an awesome guy.

i've been very impressed with his transition from rolling chicane to Chase contender.

it seems like not very long ago people were giving him a hard time.

I believe sombody called him a dart with no feathers after the martinsville race last year. He looks like a solid top 15 car everywhere these days.:)

I used to joke about him too and wondered what Jack Roush was thinking putting him in Mark Martin's car. Glad I didn't know what I was talking about though.

I have been impressed with David Ragan this season. He has shown remarkable improvement. He's a nice guy and a clean driver and has been growing on me as a driver.

I agree that Hamlin is a whiny ingrate.

Yeah, that stunk. Hopefully, that was just a minor setback.

Bristol is not the place to be starting in back. You have a better chance of getting caught up in a wreck, and the leader is right behind you within as few as 20-25 laps. Of course Keslowski proved last night you can do alright from the back. That was not very likely on the old surface.

Agreed, it's nearly impossible to win from starting outside of the top 20, but Kesselowski proved last night it can be done. Both Ragan and JR have one thing going for them and that's the new surface. I think tonight will be the most green racing we've saw at Bristol in a long time. I wouldn't be shocked to see only 5-6 cautions.
