David Shaw in NY (question)?

Anyone know is he is there? Anyone heard or read anything to indicate he is on our radar at all? Obviously UT's apparent "high academic standards" wouldn't be much of a hindrance to him in recruiting. At least against Oregon, he had a very SEC like defense and smash mouth offense. NFL coaching experience and comes from a NFL coaching father. I think he should be considered at least.

He is, but they pay him less that 1.5 a year, which equals about 500k when you realize that Palo Alto is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. A million dollar home with land in Knoxville would be a 10 million dollar home, without land in the Bay Area. We could double his pay, which would feel like a 10x increase in knoxville. You may be right, but he may want the challenge of the SEC, and the cash.
