If you missed it, here is Staley's tweet after the game last night. Of course, it's not surprising she would want Holly to stick around as long as possible....

I'm one that stays in my lane but to listen to the commentators speak about Tenn and its recruiting class is disturbing. #notcool #SEC

I agree with her the lack thereof is very disturbing, it is leading the LV program into the river of no return.

Sorry, don't see the tweet as actually backing Holly. Seems to me kind of a passive aggressive way to point out Tennessee has recruiting problems without actually saying it herself. Getting more people to talk about it is actually not a good thing for Tennessee's recruiting.

She could be referring to a number of things. But the one thing that stands out to me is the whole McCoy and OSU thing. Staley, along with Tennessee, wasn't going with the'packaged' deal, OSU was okay with it.

I think her statement was along the lines, "Hard to recruit the top players, when other schools are not using morals/values to recruit like your program. You can't fault Tennessee when you don't know the whole story."
Her statement was merely on recruiting only.

Kiss of death when your rival coaches start dishing out statements of support. Dooley used to get them from Saban all the time.

Doris spoke the truth what she said was not fabricated Tennessee is not playing quality ball they did not sign any top 100 recruits etc etc... Are they on a decline ehhhh who knows but I whom loves Tennessee has a whole is far from pleased with the over all performance of the Lady Vols, this can easily become a 10 loss season when you look at the remainder of the schedule

Hows the olds saying go...with friends like these...

I've always kind of admired the LV fan base, the hard core, the ones that travel well, get dressed up all whacky...who knew?

Of course she supports her. Right up to and through a termination. She can disparage UT to recruits that way.

Exactly what I was thinking. Nick used to blow smoke up his buddies backside after every beatdown where he took his foot off the gas for the entire 4th Q. Heck, I'm sure he supported his friend AND absolutely LOVED a guaranteed W on his schedule.

Well, Holly took it as support. Her tweet in response:

No social media n a long time. Several reasons. But it is pretty amazing when coaches who r ur competitors have ur back #coachinghood #Thx

I wish we had an AD that had the fans back and would get rid of Holly. She is not the answer to where the Lady Vol program needs to go and she doesn't have the ability to get us there.

Hart should offer Staley the job. Then see how long she wants Holly to stay. LVs is a lot better gig than USCe.

Good observation.

Once upon a time for sure. Now. not so sure.

Staley is the HC of an elite program that she built. She is very well paid, has great recruiting success and her team is headed in the right direction. IMO a NC is just a matter of time.
I can't think of a single reason why she would leave USC for ANY other school.

Only 10? lol This is the most undisciplined Tennessee team(mens or womens) I've ever watched. They could lose 5-7 more. imo

Notre Dame put on a clinic passing the basketball last night, while Holly's squad looked like a first year middle school team. To have all that talent and be so poor at a basic fundamental is extremely disturbing and falls directly at the feet of the head coach. imo
